Ingleside Guest House, built by Sir George Newnes in 1896 as a "Gentleman's Residence", has fantastic views overlooking the Lyn Valleys and Countisbury Hill, and overlooks the highest cliffs in South West England with its own private car parking.
We are situated less than a minute's walk from Lynton village centre and are nestled on the southern slopes of Hollerday Hill immediately below us are Lynton Town Hall, the Lyn Valley Arts & Crafts Centre and Cinema.
Ingleside offers an ideal base for touring holidays or walking breaks. We offer 3 course evening meals 3 nights a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please note we are currently only taking bookings of 2 nights or more.
We provide ideal accommodation for those wishing to get away on short breaks or longer stays in a part of Exmoor known as "England's Little Switzerland". We offer bed and breakfast or half-board accommodation with home-cooked evening meals served three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Last year we took many steps to help ourselves and guests feel safe and protected during the Covid times, and we are continuing to encourage guests to help everyone feel comfortable.
Your Hosts
Keith and Diana, your hosts, are entering their 19th season at Ingleside and look forward to offering you a warm welcome to Exmoor and North Devon.
As well as providing excellent hospitality and food, over the years they have renewed and updated all ensuite bathrooms. All the bedrooms have been redecorated and rejuvenated as well as the guest's lounge and dining room, along with many other upgrades and improvements.
In doing this they hope to offer a standard of accommodation that befits such a wonderful location.
